From Here to There

So many, including myself, have asked. “What reason does Russia have for interfering in our politics, our culture, our future?”

After hearing the analysis of recent events on Rachel’s show from a few days ago, I had an “aha!” moment.

They are trying to make us, the United States of America, the “bad guys” for the rest of the world.  They are manipulating a real-life “Trading Places” situation.  And they’re succeeding.  Other countries are starting to distrust us, resent us, and now put little credence in anything “we” say or do.

They are giving us the ammunition to shoot ourselves in the foot. As long as he has a “base” – he’ll stay in power. As long as there’s a “dossier” on ANY and/or ALL of our top-level members of the government, he’ll stay in power.

Public opinion polls on issues that the trump administration supports have been tampered with -10s if not 100s of thousands of “opinions” posted by “Americans” – except that they were posted by bots, using stolen identities.  Opinion polls about Net Neutrality were stacked in favor of killing it. Polls about repealing ethical rules for financial planners – stacked in favor of repeal.

Who benefits?  Big Corporations > Lobbyists > Politicians.  Who loses? You and me, baby. You and me.

And then we ALL lose when we become the “new” U.S.A. – Union of Soviet America.  Trump supporters aren’t too upset by this – they won’t even have to change the words to their rally chant! “yoU! eSs! Aaaa!”
