We go all go through stages in our lives then things seem to change at an amazing pace. And then there are times when we feel as though we’re simply reliving the same day over and over again. I think those slower times are intentional. If we lived at a rate of constant change, the changes themselves would become mundane – overlooked, and unappreciated.
It’s the big changes – the passage from one stage in your life to the next – that keep us all going forward. The curiosity about what’s coming next is what makes life interesting. And the memories of those stages we’ve been through – and in some cases “survived” – are what we build on as we move forward.
If those passages hadn’t occured in our lives, we would not be where we are – we would not be WHO we are, right at this moment. And there’s no way to ever know if that’s a good thing, or a bad thing. It’s just life.
