Traveling with Teenagers

I don’t remember the last time I had to get up at 5:00 a.m., but I’m glad I don’t have to do it very often. The limo (i.e. fancy taxi) picked us up at 5:45 this a.m. and we drove to the airport in relative silence. It’s tough to be chatty with half-asleep teenagers at that time of day. However, we’re on our way to Sedona, AZ, so it’s a new adventure for these guys.

I’m traveling with my twin 19-year-old sons.  The last time I attempted this feat, they were around 16 and both were in very different places.  Things have settled down a bit, and they’re both on more “normal” tracks in life, but it will be interesting to see if these two brothers can manage to get along with each other while traveling together for an entire week.   No bickering.  No taunting.  Cooperation and respect.

Or will I have to wait until they’re nearing 30 for that to happen?
